Information We Collect

1.1 Account Information

  • Full name and email address
  • Profile photo (optional)
  • Password (stored in encrypted form, never in plaintext)
  • Referral code (if applicable)

1.2 Health & Fitness Data

  • Distance run (kilometers)
  • Running pace and duration
  • Estimated calories burned
  • Body weight (if provided voluntarily)
  • Activity streaks and performance records

1.3 Location Data

  • GPS location data is collected during active run sessions only
  • Location data is used solely to track your running route and calculate distance
  • We do not track your location in the background or when the App is not in active use
  • You may deny location permissions, but run tracking features will be unavailable

1.4 Payment Information

  • Payment transactions are processed by Paystack, a third-party payment processor
  • We do not store your credit card numbers, bank account details, or mobile money credentials
  • We receive only transaction confirmation data (amount, status, reference ID) from Paystack
  • Paystack's Privacy Policy applies to all payment data: paystack.com/privacy

  • Events attended and check-in records
  • Leaderboard rankings and points
  • Badges earned
  • Posts, likes, and comments within the App
  • Push notification preferences
  • Device type and operating system (for technical support)

How We Use Your Information

We use your information for the following purposes:

  • To create and manage your account
  • To provide run tracking, leaderboard, and event check-in features
  • To calculate and display your points, badges, and membership tier
  • To process membership payments via Paystack
  • To send push notifications about events, achievements, and community activity
  • To process referral rewards and membership upgrades
  • To improve App performance and fix technical issues
  • To comply with legal obligations

Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell your personal data. We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Paystack: Payment processing (see Section 1.4)
  • Expo (by Expo Inc.): Push notification delivery
  • Google Cloud: Secure backend infrastructure and data storage
  • Law enforcement: If required by applicable law or court order
  • All third-party service providers are bound by data processing agreements and may not use your data for their own marketing purposes.

Health Data & Sensitive Information

Health and fitness data (weight, pace, distance) is treated with the highest level of care. This data:

  • Is used solely to provide you with personal fitness insights and leaderboard features
  • Is never shared with third parties for advertising or profiling purposes
  • Is stored securely with industry-standard encryption
  • Can be deleted at any time upon your request

Data Retention

  • Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active
  • If you delete your account, all personal data is permanently deleted within 30 days
  • Payment records may be retained for up to 7 years for legal and accounting compliance
  • Anonymized, aggregated usage statistics may be retained indefinitely

  • Access: Request a copy of the personal data we hold about you

Children's Privacy

The 7even Sports Group App is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately at legal@7evensportsgroup.com and we will delete it.

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data, including:

  • Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS)
  • Encrypted password storage (bcrypt hashing)
  • Secure cloud infrastructure (Google Cloud)
  • Access controls limiting who can access your data
  • No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. In the event of a data breach affecting your rights and freedoms, we will notify you as required by applicable law.

We send push notifications for events, likes, check-ins, and community updates. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings (iOS: Settings > Notifications > 7even Sports Group).
